FBI could investigate Second Life’s online casinos

L.A. Poker Classic is a success

The L.A. Poker Classic that is taking place at the elegant Commerce Casino, attracted 791 players who paid $10,000 to have a chance to win the $2.4 million prize that will go for the first place. Players who make it to the final table will receive a guaranteed prize of at least $250,000.

The best 54 players will be competing for a prize pool of more than $7.9 million, which means that the 2007 L.A. Poker Classic is the largest $10,000 buy-in event in the history of the World Poker Tour.

The new Southland Park

About $40 million were invested this year to renovate the Southland Park Gaming and Racing. The refurbishing was planned after a referendum that took place on November 8th 2005 allowed electronic games of skill in racing tracks.

Dinning, meeting and gaming areas have been added to Southland plus 603 slot machines. Twelve video blackjack tables Digital 21 are available as well as video poker machines, forty of which are Texas Hold’em Poker machines.

“It was real important for Hef to have the traditional bunny outfits represented,” George Maloof, Palms owner, said. The club has a capacity for 500 people and will feature 10 blackjack tables.
