The World Series of Blackjack IV, a new season of the most important blackjack championship in the world, will premier on Monday, June 4th, brought by GSN. This season the tournament will return to the Las Vegas Hilton and the winner will take home $500,000.

Qualification rounds for the WSOB IV took place in officially authorized casinos all over the United States and at the Las Vegas Hilton that hold “super satellite” championships. Several celebrities will complete the 40-player field, including Penn Jillette, Shannon Elizabeth and former Celebrity Blackjack winner Caroline Rhea.

The tournament will be divided in eight preliminary matches followed by the wildcards, semi-finals and the final. During the thirteen episodes, the “Burger King Power Chip” and the “Knockout Cards” will be in play. The “Burger King Power Chip” can be used once by each player to substitute any card before going over 21 and when a “Knockout Card” appears the player with the lowest bankroll after the next hand will be out of the game.

The World Series of Blackjack IV will be hosted, as it was last year, by Matt Vasgersian. Joanna Henderson will provide blackjack tips and other features on the show.
