Expected to be launched in December 2009, the Oasis of the Seas by Royal Caribbean will have an “Entertainment Place”, an amusement complex which is only one of the seven stories in the largest cruise ship in the world. The ship will also have a “Comedy Live” zone, where comedians will interact with the audience during their performances.
The gala room, with a decoration inspired on a New York metro station, has clear, modern furniture and a subway system map on the room’s ceiling. The complex also includes a Blaze, ideal for those guests who are looking for a night house to dance or listen to music. Inspired in the Chicago of the 30s, or “Jazz on 4”, it is an environment thought for live jazz and blues.
The Oasis of the Seas will also offer guests the “Opal Theater”, a 1,380 seat theater with an intimate, interactive ambient for both the audience and performers. The “Studio B”, with its ice rink will continue with its shows, besides holding other themed events.
The Casino Royale, the largest casino on the seas, will recall the classic casinos of the French Riviera. It will have 450 slot machines, huge gaming tables with blackjack, roulette, craps and Caribbean Stud Poker, besides a bar. The casino also features a sports book, a poker room and a players club.
