July 4th is a day to remember, a day to celebrate the Independence of the United States. For those that like gambling, spending the holyday at a casino might be an interesting choice. Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is offering an Independence Day celebration customized for gamblers.

It will be a two day event, both on July 3rd and 4th. Players will have the chance to enjoy more than 1,100 slot machines. The non smoking Food Court area recently went through an 82-game expansion, now including Electronic Blackjack and Roulette. There will also be live –harness- and simulcast horse racing.

Tuesday will include a patio party, barbecue and races starting 2pm, live entertainment 6pm and fireworks at 9.30 pm. Wednesday will continue with the patio party and barbecue, noon to 5pm, then live entertainment will take place the whole afternoon.

Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is Pennsylvania’s first casino, located in the Northeast region of the state. The casino is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
